The Rainbow Hid Behind The Cloud

Agony, pain, crashing so tender

find solace in my sublime surrender

lost joy and the melancholy you sent her

wont mitigate the love you render

you thwart the hope of love supreme

you take refuge in pain’s glory

but you forget i am on your side

that I will complete your love story

you thought your absence would

put a smile on that dimpled pout

but as you left

the rainbow hid behind the cloud

thoughts floating in my mind

wont find true sanctuary

till you adorn that heart’s harbour

till I complete your love story

so come here you, come

lose your painful melancholy

find solace in my sublime surrender

and complete our love story

The Love That Cannot Be

Flaming souls entwined in sorrow

With no future, no hope for a tomorrow

Hold on still, the morning will dawn

It’s what you say, that all is not gone

But can you drown their misery

Can you make them one

What can you really do

When they come undone

Your pearls of wisdom

Fall short of the radiance

That their love exuded

What you offer is only sympathy

Wrapped in the colour red

Theirs is the love that cannot be

Theirs is the story that will be hushed

Theirs would be a fable

Albeit, battered and crushed.

Aint you supposed to be

Gone today

Leaving me alone

Aint you supposed to go

To find your psychedelic paragon

Snowflakes on your body

Turning into water

Trickling down your arm

Go down the rotator

A new paradigm did you say

Did you mean it, that line

About your love and me

Being as pure and pristine?

The Trail

Though you move forward

You left your marks behind

You didn’t realize how prized you were

You didn’t know you’d make a difference

The precious little you had done

Was enough to move the mountain

Your footprints weren’t washed away in the rain

What you did wasn’t all in vain

Yet you seem wistful

Still unbelieving ‘twas you

Who removed the grave colours and hues

To pink from the melancholy blue

You might have moved far ahead

But your footprints linger on

You gave them the miracle of hope

The gift of a new dawn..
